Lake House
In response to its Lake side site, the concept behind this project is inspired by the traditional boatshed.
Designed across a sloping site, the view of the lake is unveiled as residents travel through the house. A wide hallway with northern aspect allows light to internal spaces while the upper level of the house capitalizes on views to the Lake.
The vernacular of the boatshed is detailed throughout the home. Such details include exposed timber beams and joists and an internal stone wall that incorporates the fireplace.
